Box Score Posting 92 points in a win Thursday night, Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball took the court against Cedarville on Saturday with first place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on the line.
Neither team would score for the first two and a half minutes until Cedarville got a basket at the 17:30 mark. KWC would tie the game once, at 4-4, but that was all they could muster, as Cedarville grabbed the lead for with 15:02 left in the first half and raced to a 79-56 win at the Sportscenter.
The loss dropped the Panthers to 14-8 on the season and 9-3 in G-MAC play. Cedarville improved to 22-3 overall and 12-1 in the G-MAC.
Brittany Wells led KWC in scoring with 11 off the bench and was the only Panther in double figures. Cedarville finished with five players in double figures for the game.
KWC returns to the court on Thursday when they play in Philippi, West Va. against Alderson Broaddus. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 4:15 CT.
