KWC looks to bounce back

Looking to rebound from a loss on Saturday, Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball takes the court this weekend looking to retake sole possession of second place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

The Panthers take on Central State on Thursday night, with tip-off set for 5:30 CT.  Saturday, Cedarville comes into the Sportscenter for a rematch.  Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 1:00 CT

KWC enters Thursday night with a record of 13-7 overall and 8-2 in G-MAC play.  Jordanne Gambill leads the Panthers in scoring at 13.3 points-per-game, Jennifer Walker-Crawford and Bria Wright are the co-rebounding leaders, averaging 6.6 rebounds-per-game; Wright is also the assists leader, averaging two assists-per-game.

As a team, the Panthers average 70 points and 42 rebounds-per-game while shooting 40 percent from the floor, 31 percent from the three point arc and 69 percent at the free throw line.  Defensively, KWC is holding opponents to 64 points and 36 rebounds per contest, additionally holding them to 38 percent shooting from the floor and 29 percent from the three point arc.

Central State enters Thursday's contest 7-14 overall and 4-7 in G-MAC play.  The two teams met back on Jan. 17, with KWC coming out on top 66-65.  Iniquia Snell leads the Marauders in points at 18.1 per game and assists at 4.2 per contest.  Kourtni Perry is the leading rebounder for CSU at 8.7 rpg.

Cedarville, the number 23 team in the nation, enters Saturday 21-2 overall and 11-0 in G-MAC play.  The last time these teams played was back on Jan. 15, with Cedarville winning 78-73.  Raegan Ryan leads the team in scoring (17.9 ppg) and assists (4.9 apg) while Kayla Linkous leads the team in rebounding, averaging 6.2 rpg.
