Coach
Brent Holsclaw gave his insights on Louisiana College, "They are a very good football program, and they are well coached and disciplined. I would like to think that we are very similar with the way that we both do things. It should be an outstanding contest with obviously a much tougher opponent, and hopefully we come out with a nice win on homecoming weekend."
LC is averaging near 130 yards per game on the ground. With rain in the forecast, Holsclaw emphasized how important it will be to stop the run. "I have been really pleased with our defensive production since the Limestone game. Our defense has really stepped up over the past four games. Right now our rush defense is much improved since earlier in the season. I have the upmost confidence in our defense right now."
Holsclaw on the game plan offensively for Saturday, "The game plan is always to get the ball into
Keelan Cole's hands. We have already seen early on the respect level that opponents have for him. He has been double and sometimes triple covered even in our games against FCS schools. He has continued to be productive despite all of that. When he is being double covered, we have got to be able to run the football and get the ball into our other playmakers' hands. Most importantly, our offensive line has got to protect Dalton."
