Box Score Kentucky Wesleyan tallied their first home win of the season at Jones Gymnasium on Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Kentucky State.
The Panthers took control of the match early, by winning the first two sets with scores of 25-23, and 25-16. The Thoroughbreds managed to win the third set by a score of 25-18 as they attempted to make a comeback in the match. The Panthers however were able to rebound and got out to a comfortable lead in the fourth set, and never looked back. They won the final set by a score of 25-17.
Nikki Jenkins continued off of her dominant performance at the Crossover Tournament, by leading the Panthers with 15 kills throughout the match.
Autumn Harris recorded nine kills and
Gabrielle Gallois finished with eight.
Courtney Gildea produced 32 of the Panthers 37 assists. She also had 15 digs throughout the course of the match as well.
The Panthers will play at home again this Friday at 7 p.m. against Brescia. Friday's match has been tabbed as Military Appreciation Night.
