Game notesKentucky Wesleyan will travel on the road to Wilberforce, Ohio, where they will matchup against Central State on Saturday
The Panthers are coming off of a bye week. Head Coach
Brent Holsclaw talked about his team's improvements through practice over the course of the past week:
"We've been trying to build more confidence. We've got a good football team; we just have to keep believing it."
Central State comes in with a record of 2-2, and is coming off a win over Kentucky State.
"Their defense is outstanding. They force a lot of turnovers and score a lot of points off of them. Our offense will have a huge challenge this week" Holsclaw stated.
As for the Panthers defensively, Holsclaw mentioned how essential it will be to slow down the Marauder's running game:
"They are very big up front, and they have a really good quarterback who can beat you with his feet. We're going to have to contain him and stop the run. Overall we know we have a challenge ahead of us, but we're really looking forward to getting back on the playing field this Saturday."
Kickoff is set for noon CT.
