Kentucky Wesleyan's Bryant Quall and
Cornelia Thomas both captured first place at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday in Marion, Ind.

Qualls, a sophomore from Harrodsburg, Ky. (Mercer County HS), won the 1,000 meters with a KWC record time of 2:43.36. He also ran the second leg of the 4x400 relay placing the Panthers second with a KWC record time 3:36.18 and the starter of the 4x800 relay where KWC finish third with a KWC record time 8:50.30.

Thomas, a freshman from Memphis, Tenn. (Northpoint Christian School), captured the shot put with a KWC record throw of 11.87 meters.

Additional KWC records broken were the 60 meters hurdle by
Lucas Butler (9.88); the one-mile run (5:46.77) and 3,000 meters (11.33:69) both by
Alex Velez; the pole vault by Sara McDonald (2,13m); and the weight throw by Crystal Hopkins (12.42m).

Panthers travel to Elsah, Ill., for the Principia Relays on Saturday.
