Box Score 2 A win in the final match yesterday helped Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball finish the first day with a split at the Lee Invitational.
Kentucky Wesleyan would split again on day two of the tournament, losing their first match to Southern Wesleyan before beating Campbellsville to finish the Invitational 2-2.
MATCH ONE – Southern Wesleyan 3, KWC 0
KWC played two close sets with Southern Wesleyan, but ended up falling 27-25, 25-29, 25-23. Morgan had 31 assists to lead the Panthers, while
Summer Alford had 12 kills and
Hannah Hudnall had 12 digs.
MATCH TWO – KWC 3, Campbellsville 0
The Panthers were dominant in match two, out hitting Campbellsville .378 to .133 en route to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-22 sweep of the Tigers.
Summer Alford had 12 kills to lead KWC and
Ashley Pickert added 10.Â
Morgan Switalla added 34 assists and
Hannah Hudnall had 14 digs.
KWC next plays Cedarville on Oct. 3 in the G-MAC opener at home.
