KWC splits on first day of Lee Invitational

On the first of two days in the Lee Invitational, Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball split their matches, falling 3-0 to Bryan in match one and defeating Lee 3-0 in match two.

Match One – Bryan 3, KWC 0

The Panthers played the first set against Bryan close, but fell 25-22, 25-17 and 25-13 in the match. 
Nikki Jenkins led the way with nine kills and finished with 12 digs, Courtney Gildea had 22 assists and Hannah Hudnall posted a team-best 15 digs in the match.

Match Two – KWC 3, Lee 0

Ashley Pickert's 13 kills and five blocks led the Panthers to a 25-22, 25-20, 25-20 sweep over Lee.  Morgan Switalla added 26 assists in the match and Hannah Hudnall had 13 digs in the win.

KWC outhit Lee .329 to .011 and had eight blocks to Lee's two.

The Panthers are back at it tomorrow facing Southern Wesleyan and Campbellsville.
