Box Score Kentucky Wesleyan lost to Davis & Elkins, 7-3, in the loser's bracket of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in Mason, Ohio on Thursday afternoon to end their season.
Jonathan Eberhardt had two of the Panther's nine hits including a RBI double.
Jordan Harbison also had a RBI double.
The Senators jumped out to a 2-0 in the first. KWC came back in the second to cut the lead to 2-1 and went ahead in the fifth with two runs for the 3-2 advantage. Davis & Elkins regained the lead for good by scoring four in the sixth and one in the seventh to settle on the final tally.
Kaleb Moore (5-3) received the loss. He threw five inning and fanned six batters. He allowed eight hits, two walks and five earned runs.
Jordan Collier came in relief in the sixth and seven and had one strikeout.
Tyler Emberton closed the eighth inning with two strikeouts.
The Panthers finish with a 31-16 record that included a record breaking 13 straight wins. This marks the fourth 30-plus win season in KWC baseball history.
