Box Score 2 Kentucky Wesleyan lost to visiting Davis & Elkins, 5-0 and 4-1, in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action at Panther Park on Friday afternoon.
In the first contest, Jonathan Eberhardt had two of the Panther's four hits including a double as the Senator's Zach Bradfield pitched the complete game shutout by fanning 14 batters and allowing one walk.
KWC's
Aussie Light (6-3) received the loss by throwing seven innings and striking out eight as he gave up five hits, three runs and two walks.
Jordan Collier and
Tyler Emberton each pitched one frame with Emberton collecting three strikeouts.
The night cap saw KWC record only one hit by Eberhardt and the Panther's scored their lone run on a ground out in the second.
Lucas Ray (7-1) struck out seven, walked five and allowed four hits in his first loss of the season.
KWC (29-13, 16-6 G-MAC) will play Davis & Elkins again tomorrow at noon in their final two home games.
