Box Score 2 Kentucky Wesleyan dropped a twinbill to visiting Bellarmine, 6-4 and 4-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Panther Park.
The first contest saw the Knights get on the scoreboard first with a run in the third and fourth innings, and again with four in the fifth.
The Panthers loaded the bases in the fourth but could not produce any runs.
The bottom of the fifth KWC bounced back with four to cut the lead to 6-4.
Jonathan Eberhardt's double brought in
Connor Petschke for the first score.
Mark Hagedorn followed with a triple to send Eberhardt and
Michael Hellmueller across the plate.
Josh Vance produced a double to drive in Hagedorn to close KWC's scoring.
Kaleb Moore (2-2) received the loss after throwing four and one-third innings and two strikeouts.
Tyler Emberton came in relief for the final two frames and had two strikeouts.
In the night cap, the Panthers could only munster three hits in the shutout. BU scored one run in the first, two in the third and one in the fourth to settle on the final tally.
Tyler Walsh (2-1) threw three and one-third innings with one strikeout in the loss.
Austin Tibbs in relief did not allow a run in the final three and two-third innings.
