Kentucky Wesleyan for the second day in row swept visiting Oakland City in a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.
 
The Panthers won the first contests, 9-2, as Nolan Ray and Jonathan Eberhardt both each produced two RBIs. Nathan Hedgepath, Michael Hellmueller, Dennon Koziol and Reid Walker also added one RBI a piece. Eberhardt had KWC's only extra base hit with a double.
 
Lucas Ray (6-0) stayed perfect by throwing five innings with six strikeouts and walking three. Jordan Collier closed the final two innings with two strikeouts and no hits.
 
The second game was closer as KWC prevailed 5-3. Hellmueller started the Panther's scoring with a RBI single in the third. Josh Vance's sacrifice fly and Connor Petschke's triple in the fourth led to a four-run inning as the Panthers broke a 1-1 tie to forge ahead 5-1. The Mighty Oaks added one in the sixth and seventh.
 
Aussie Light (5-2) earned the victory as he pitched six innings and fanned eight batters and walked one. Noah Boswell collected his 10th save of the season coming on the seventh to close the Panthers sweep.
 
KWc (24-11) play at Kentucky State on Monday at 1 p.m. CT, for a single game.
