Ashley Crooke led Kentucky Wesleyan with six hits driving in four runs and scoring five in their.Great Midwest Athletic Conference sweep at Salem International early Sunday morning in Salem, WVa.

Crooke hit for the cycle to power Panthers to their 7-1 win in the first contest against the Tigers. She produced four hits with a homer, triple, single and a double to drive in three runs and scored three. Alex Baumgart, Jessica Carmon and Kelsey Miller each added two hits as KWC had 12 compared to the Salem's seven.
 
Crooke hit her solo home run in the second to take a 1-0 lead. The Tigers tied the game with one run in the fifth. Carmon hit a single to right field to send Crooke to the plate in the sixth to retake the advantage.
 
The seventh saw KWC post five runs to settle on the final tally. Miller started with a left center double to drive Baumgart across the plate. Kaci Ovelgoenner followed with a single scoring Miller. Crooke hit her double to send Ovelgoenner and Amber Pendergraft home. Weedman's infield single added Crooke's for the Panther's final run.
 
Josalyn Ress (9-6) earned the win by pitching eight strikeouts, walking two and only gave up one run in seven innings.
 
Baumgart began the second contest by scoring Weedman on a single to third base in the second inning for a 1-0 lead. The scoring continued in the third with Crooke's single to bring Pendergraft home, Carmon's ground out scored Ovelgoenner and Crooke added the third run of the frame on a fielding error.
 
In the seventh, Carmon hit a single to center field advanced Crooke to the plate and Baumgart's single down the left field line scored Weedman to extend their lead to 6-0. Salem added their only run in the seventh.
 
The Panthers recorded 12 hits with Baumgart, Crooke, Miler, Casey Smith and Weedman each gathering two-a-piece
 
Smith (5-8) went the distance to pick up the victory by throwing four strikeouts, allowing only one walk and six hits.
 
KWC (19-15, 10-4) plays at Oakland City on Tuesday at 3:30 CT.
