Kentucky Wesleyan twice ran past Ohio Valley in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday.
 
Kaci Ovelgoenner produced three RBIs to lead Kentucky Wesleyan to their 12-2 Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory over host Ohio Valley in the first contest of a twinbill in Vienna, WVa., on Saturday.
 
Amber Pendergraft started the first inning with a doubled to left field and Ovelgoenner followed with single to drive in Pendergraft for the 1-0 lead.
 
In the second, Kelsey Miller tripled to right center to bring Kyli Smithson and Jessica Carmon to the plate. Pendergraft then singled to right field to push Miller home.
 
Casey Smith added one more run in the third with a RBI single to right field to score Mackenzie Weedman.
 
The Fighting Scots got on the scoreboard with their only runs with two in the third to cut KWC's lead 5-2.
 
The Panthers exploded in the fifth with seven runs to end the game. Carmon doubled to
left field to advance Ashley Crooke home.
 
Smith then posted a center field single to drive Weedman in. Smith continued with a single to left leading Carmon to the plate.
 
Ovelgoenner's double drove in Miller and Smithson for run six. Weedman also doubled knocking in Pendergraft to close the inning and the contest.
 
KWC tallied 15 hits to OVU's five.
 
Josalyn Ress (8-6) earned the victory by throwing five innings and three strikeouts with no walks.
 
Seven Panthers collected two or more hits as KWC tallied 14 in their 10-1 win in the nightcap.
 
The Fighting Scots started the second contest in the first with their only run of the game.
 
Smithson started the third inning with a double to left field and Pendergraft also hit a double to drive in Smithson. Ovelgoenner's single to right sent Pendergraft home for the 2-1 lead.
 
The fourth saw KWC produce six runs.
 
Weedman scored the first one on a fielder's choice by Smith. Miller hit a right field single to score Smithson and Smith.
 
Pendergraft followed with a single to left to add Miller to the tally.
 
Ovelgoenner followed with a RBI double to center driving Pendergraft across the plate. Crooke knocked in Ovelgoenner on a single to end the scoring.
 
In the sixth, Miller scored on a wild pitch and Weedman hit a single to center to knock in Ovelgoenner to close KWC's scoring and the game.
 
Four Panthers totaled three RBIs.
 
Jessica Carmon (5-1) had two strikeouts with no walks in the six inning win.
 
KWC (17-15, 8-4 G-MAC) will play at Salem International on Sunday morning.
