Cedarville defeated host Kentucky Wesleyan, 7-2, in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Friday at Owensboro's Moreland Park.

Danielle Hadler and Kendall Ganus both won their singles flight. Hadler defeated Lauren Jackson, 6-4 and 6-3, for the No 1 spot. Ganus came from behind to win, 3-6, 7-6 and 8-6, over Courtney Heydt.

The Panthers play at Indiana-Southeast in New Albany on Friday.
