Box Score After grinding out a win on Thursday night in their Great Midwest Athletic Conference opener, Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball looked to push their winning streak to four.
Jordanne Gambill's 23 points and seven rebounds guided KWC, who cruised to their fourth straight win, 75-50 over Salem International. The Panthers improve to 4-4 on the season and 2-0 in the G-MAC.
Gambill opened the scoring for KWC with a layup 34 seconds into the game and put the Panthers on top. A three by SIU gave them the lead briefly, before Gambill made another layup with 18:04 left in the first half to make it 4-3.

Katie Miller extended the lead to 6-3 at the 17:34 mark, before SIU went on a 4-0 run to take a 7-6 lead with 16:39 left in the first half. Neither team scored for the next 1:38, until a jumper from
Brittany Wells gave KWC an 8-7 lead. The Panthers would never trail again.
SIU would get the lead down to one three more times in the first half, but an 8-0 run over the final 2:16 of the half helped KWC pull out to a 29-19 lead at halftime. The Panthers pushed the run to 12-0 in the second half and the lead never went below double digits again, reaching its largest margin of 33 (63-30) with 6:39 left in the game.
KWC emptied their bench over the last six minutes of the game and cruised the rest of the way to a 75-50 win.Â
Jennifer Walker-Crawford added 10 points for the Panthers, who dominated in every aspect of the game.
The Panthers won the rebounding battle 41-28, and outscored SIU off the bench 33-2.
KWC has a week off before their next game, Dec. 15 against Oakland City at the Sportscenter.
