KWC Plays this weekend looking to improve seeding in G-MAC Tournament

Needing a win to clinch the third seed in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament, Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball plays their last two games of the regular season.

Tonight, KWC faces cross town rival Brescia at 7 p.m. and tomorrow, the Panthers end their regular season with a visit from G-MAC foe Ursuline.  First serve is at noon and will be preceded by Senior Day activities.

"We came out and passed the ball really well against Salem," said head coach Eric Hagan about the past weekend's matches.  "We served the ball really well.  Changed setters in both the second and third sets.  We reinserted everyone in the fourth set and ended up finishing that one.  I was impressed with our energy going into the Ohio Valley match.  I had some issues with that match.  I liked our attitudes and how we handled situations.  I love where we are right now."

KWC enters the match 13-12 on the season and 6-4 in G-MAC play.  Summer Alford has a team high 237 kills, Sarah Swenson has 372 assists and Hannah Hudnall has 408 digs to lead the team.

Brescia enters tonight's match with a 6-22 record.  The Panthers defeated Brescia 3-0 in a match earlier this season.

Ursuline is 16-7 overall and 7-3 in the G-MAC.  They are led by Abbie Fabo with 237 kills, Molly Hilfinger with 808 assists and Makayla Windau with 280 digs.

Before the Ursuline match, KWC will honor seven seniors: Erica Gallois, Bridget Johnson, Rae Garvison, Linda Albrecht, Chelsea Brothers, Summer Alford and Hannah Hudnall.
