Panthers lose twice in Pops Duncan Classic

Searching for their first victory of the season, Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball played this past weekend at the Pops Duncan Classic.

KWC would lose both games they played, dropping Friday night's contest 71-66 to Ferris St. and falling 64-49 on Saturday to Truman St.  The Panthers now sit at 0-4 on the season.

Brittany Wells led KWC in scoring on Friday night with a career best 13 points, while Jordanne Gambill and Haley Cook both added 11 and Katie Miller led the way with eight rebounds.

In the loss on Saturday, Jennifer Walker-Crawford paced the Panthers in scoring with 15 points, while adding a team high six rebounds.  Erin Dorn also finished in double figures for KWC with 12 points.

The Panthers return to the hardwood on Wednesday night when they take on Division III opponent Berea at the Sportscenter.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
