Box Score A loss in their last match and some bad weather conditions did not deter Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer from dominating Salem International this afternoon.
KWC got goals from six different players in a 6-0 win to improve to 7-4 overall and 4-2 in G-MAC play.Â
"Conditions were less than ideal," said head coach
Jamie Duvall after the match. "We did what we needed to do to leave with the points."
The Panthers got goals from
Katlyn Duke,
Myia Hernandez,
Lauren Norton,
Penni Pluimer,
Leslie Chinn and
Sydney Morabito in the game and got assists from
Paige Kramer and
Kaley Burnette.
Duke's goal, her team-high tying fourth of the season, came in the ninth minute to put KWC up 1-0 on an assist from Kramer. Hernandez's goal came just before the end of the first half on an assist from Burnette.
Norton, Pluimer, Chinn and Morabito all scored unassisted goals in the second half, with Norton's and Chinn's both coming off of rebounds.
The Panthers return to the pitch on Saturday at Ohio Valley.
