Box Score Summer Alford and
Chelsea Brothers combined for 23 kills to help improve Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball's record to 6-3 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play.
KWC defeated Salem International 3-1 by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 22-25 and 25-16. The Panthers totaled 51 kills as a team and hit .286.
"We were out of sorts during the third set, but we got it together and finished the match," said head coach
Eric Hagan. "They understand that this can't happen again the rest of the season. I appreciate the energy they gave to finish the match."
Sarah Swenson had 27 assists in the match and
Hannah Hudnall led the team with 17 digs.Â
Ashley Pickert also returned to the lineup for KWC, registering six kills and six digs after missing the previous four matches with an injury.
The Panthers return to the court tomorrow in Vienna, West Va. against Ohio Valley. First serve is at noon central time.
