Preview: Football face D-II opponent Limestone

A tough road trip to Murray State last weekend brought Kentucky Wesleyan football's record to 4-4 on the season.

Tomorrow, KWC plays their third home game of the season when they welcome in first year program Limestone to Steele Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.  The game will be preceded by Homecoming festivities on campus.

"I couldn't be more proud of the guys," said head coach Brent Holsclaw. "Statistically, we were ahead in several categories.  They gave everything they had in the first half."

Dalton Oliver was 29-for-47 for 336 yards and two touchdowns against Murray State and is 160-for-273 on the season with 2,609 yards passing and 22 touchdowns on the season.  Myles Walker carried the ball 13 times against Murray and has 79 carries for 418 yards and one touchdown on the season.

Keelan Cole caught six passes for 68 yards in the loss and has 54 catches for 1,097 yards and 13 touchdowns overall.

On defense, Cody Mills leads the team in tackles with 45.5 and sacks with 5.5 and Tyler Hermann has five interceptions for a team best.

"Anytime you have a home game it's a breath of fresh air," continued Holsclaw.  "You couldn't ask for a better environment then we will have on Saturday."

Limestone enters Saturday's game 2-6 on the season.  Jonathan Clark has 724 yards passing and six touchdowns, Deanthony Neal has 565 yards and six touchdowns running the football and D'Anta Fleming has 418 receiving yards and five touchdowns, all totals that lead the Saints this season.

KWC ends their season at home against Virginia-Lynchburg on Nov. 8.
