Box Score Despite double-doubles from
Summer Alford and
Sarah Swenson, Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball came up short today against Alderson-Broaddus.
"We're up and down, and today we were down," said head coach
Eric Hagan. "Last night we were up. Alderson is a great team. We did not capitalize on things when we had our opportunity. I am very disappointed."
KWC was defeated in five sets, 28-26, 13-25, 22-25, 26-24 and 11-15. Alford had 14 kills and 12 digs for her second straight double-double and Swenson registered career highs in assists (17) and digs (12) for her first career double-double.
Dallas Zimmerman also had 12 kills for the Panthers (8-7/3-2 G-MAC), while
Morgan Switalla had 17 assists and
Courtney Gildea had 12.Â
Hannah Hudnall had a team leading 13 digs in the match.
Next up for KWC is a trip to Louisville on Tuesday to face Bellarmine.
