KWC goes on the road in search of fourth straight win

After setting a new record with their third straight victory, Kentucky Wesleyan football heads back to the road this weekend.

KWC (3-2) will be in Florida looking for their fourth straight win tomorrow morning when they face Warner.  Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. central time.
"
We are certainly happy with the win," said head coach Brent Holsclaw.  "We didn't know a lot about those guys.  They have played close games, including against our opponent this week.  We played well and it was a great atmosphere.  We did what we were supposed to do."

Dalton Oliver had another solid game going 23-of-38 for 360 yards and four touchdowns.  For the season, Oliver has 12 touchdowns and 1368 yards through the air.

Keelan Cole was named the Co-Wide Receiver of the Week by USA Football Channel in Division after his 10-catch, 220-yard performance against Faith.  Cole's yardage total was the second highest total in a single game in school history and he caught three touchdowns.

He has 36 catches for 699 yards and nine touchdowns on the season to lead the team.

Myles Walker notched his second straight 100-yard rushing performance with 123 yards on 11 carries.  Walker leads the team in rushing on the season with 308 yards on 45 carries and a touchdown.

Warner brings an identical 3-2 record into tomorrow's game.  Darren Davis is the quarterback and he leads the Royals in both passing (55-of-95 for 595 yards) and rushing (67 carries for 207 yards) and has accounted for two of his team's touchdowns.

Lester Lewis is Warner's leading receiver with seven catches for 166 yards and one score.

"They are a very good team," said Holsclaw, when asked about Warner. "They are coming off a win like us.  The challenge will be what we have done with all the road travel.  Hopefully we have grown up and will handle the trip well.  They will present a lot of challenges for us.  They are very athletic and are very sound.  It should be a great game."
