Kentucky Wesleyan closed the 2013 season with a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader loss at Bellarmine, 5-0 and 8-0, at Louisville on Sunday.
The Panthers produced seven hits with
Kaci Ovelgoenner and
Meagan Sallee collecting two each. The Knights also had seven hits where they scored one in the second inning, one in fourth and three in the fifth for the victory.
Ashlee Winstead received the loss in pitching six innings where she struckout seven.
In the closer, KWC could only come away with three hits in final KWC contest of the season. BU collected eight hits as they scored one in the first, one in the second, three in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth for the 8-0 shutout.
Josalyn Ress pitched four innings and recorded one strikeout.
The Panther finished the season 18-31 and 12-24 in the GLVC.
