Mackenzie Weedman hit a RBI single to bring
Alex Baumgart across the plate for the Panthers first run and
Kaci Ovelgoenner added a second RBI single to drive Weedman in for the 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Ashley Crooke drove home
Kelsey Miller in the seventh inning for the Panther's third score on a RBI single.

Meagan Sallee and Weedman all produced two hits.
In the nightcap, the Bearcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning enroute to the 9-6 win.
Ovelgoenner singled to right field to score Baumgart and Miller in the third to cut the deficit to 4-2. McKendree followed in the bottom of the inning with three more to extend the advantage to 7-2.
Weedman knocked in Baumgart on a single to right centerfield and
Clarissa Smith also singled to the same spot to bring home Weedman for two runs in the fifth. The Bearcats answered with one more in the bottom half of the inning.
Weedman in the sixth reached base on a fielding error by the shortstop to score Miller. Ovelgoenner drove in Baumgart on a fielder's choice for the second run of the inning. McKendree closed out the frame with a run to earn the 9-6 win.
Ovelgoenner recorded two hits with three RBIs and Baumgart also had two hits and scored three runs for the Panthers.
Josalyn Ress received the loss in pitching 2.1 innings allowing eight hits, four earned runs with one strikeout. Winstead threw 3.2 innings in relief and had two earned runs and five hits.
KWC (18-29, 12-22 GLVC) play a doubleheader in Louisville on Sunday against Bellarmine starting at 11 a.m. CT.
