Kentucky Wesleyan finished eighth at the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Star Shootout at the par-72 Rail Golf Course in Springfield on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Samantha Woods led the Panthers with a 181 (88-93) followed by Bailey Wilson's 210 (101-109) and Kaitlyn Pelletier's 212 (105-107). Mikayla McKenzie had to withdraw due to an injury during the first round.
 
Abby Vorreyer from host UIS won medalist honors by shooting a 146 (70-76). Southern Indiana won the Invitational with a 635.
