Panthers fall twice

Kentucky Wesleyan lost to visiting Drury twice by the same score in Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball action on Friday at Panther Park.
 
Drury jumped out to a 2-1 lead after two innings in the first contest enroute to their 3-1 win. The Panthers scored in fourth on a RBI single by Mark Hagedorn knocking in Ray Devalle.
 
Both squads collected eight hits. Devalle and Josh Vance produced KWC's two doubles.
 
Jon Wandling received the loss and threw eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Tyler Emberton closed the game by fanning two batters in 2.1 innings.   
 
In the second contests, Drury once again had a 2-1 lead to post their second 3-1 victory. Hagedorn had a solo home run in the fourth for the Panthers.
 
Chaz Simpson went the distance with six strikeouts in seven innings.

KWC closes the four-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon.
