Looking to win the programs first G-MAC Volleyball Championship the Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team moved one step closer by sweeping Central State Thursday evening at Jones Gymnasium. KWC is 25-6 on the season. The Panthers are hosting the tournament after winning the regular season title.
KWC scored the first six points of the opening set and went ahead 18-2 following a kill by senior
Jordan Rickert. The Panthers went on to win the set 25-8.
Central State took the first two points of the second set, but the Panthers went on an 11-1 run to go ahead 11-3. The Panthers eventually won 25-9.

Erica Gallois posted the opening point of the third set. Central State tied the match at 1-1 on a kill and then the Panthers scored the next seven points to build an 8-1 advantage. KWC took the set 25-5 on a service error by the Marauder.

Summer Alford led the Panthers with six kills. Sophomore
Dallas Zimmerman tallied five service aces. Rickert finished with 26 assists and freshman
Allyson Banks had six digs.
The Panthers posted a .600 attacking percentage, 13 service aces and two blocks.
KWC returns to action on Friday, Nov. 22 against #5 seed Trevecca Nazarene at 7:30 p.m. Alderson Broaddus plays Cedarville in the first semifinal game on Friday at 5 p.m.
