Cross Country returns to NCAA Midwest Regional

Kentucky Wesleyan competed at the 2013 NCAA Midwest Region Championship for the first time in three seasons on Nov. 9, at the Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Somers, Wis.

Senior Taylor Mitchell finished first for the Panthers in the women's 8K race with a 28:28. Freshmen Taylor Wilson posted a 30:00, Anita Black recorded a 30:49 and Casey Price ran a 31:09. Senior Tiffany Clark clocked in at 31:20 to round-out the day.

Ferris State's Samantha Johnson won the Championship with a 21:22 and Grand Valley State earned the team title. There were 198 runners and 27 teams participating..

In the 10K men's race, freshman Seth Applegate crossed the finished line first for KWC with a 38:23. Sophomore Seth Burnette captured a 40:00, followed by freshmen Patrick McIntyre with a 44:35 and Billy Busby collected a 44:37.

Southern Indiana's Johnnie Guy earned the Championship with a 31:06 and Grand Valley State earned the team title. There were 199 runners and 29 teams competing.
