Facing G-MAC opponent Alderson Broaddus for the third time this season the Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to the Battler on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers are 18-5 overall and 7-2 in the conference following the match against Alderson Broaddus.
KWC jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first set and took the set 25-15.
The Panthers carried the momentum into the second set going ahead 13-4. The Battler scored three straight points to tie the game at 24 all after KWC made it a 24-21 game. Alderson Broaddus eventually took the set 27-25.
In the third set the score was close early, but the Battler went on an 8-1 run to build an 11-4 lead on their way to a 25-13 win.
Alderson Broaddus built an early lead in the fourth set going ahead 5-1. KWC pulled within three on a couple of occasions, but the Battler used another late run to take the set 25-13.

Summer Alford had a team high 12 kills. Senior
Jordan Rickert posted 41 assists and junior
Hannah Hudnall had 16 digs. Sophomore
Dallas Zimmerman recorded three block assists.
The Panthers finished with a .107 attacking percentage, four blocks and three service aces.
KWC returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 29 against Bellarmine at 6 p.m. CT in Louisville, Ky.
