The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball improved to 5-0 at home with a sweep of Davis & Elkins on Friday night moving to 18-4 overall and 7-1 in the G-MAC.
In the first set the Panthers jumped out to an 8-2 advantage. The Senators pulled within four on a service ace that put the score at 14-10. KWC didn't allow Davis & Elkins to get any closer and took the set 25-19.
KWC started off strong to begin the second set going ahead 6-0. The Senators struggled to get a run going of their own and the Panthers won handily 25-9.
The Panthers carried the momentum into the third and closed the set scoring nine of the final 12 points to win 25-11.
Freshman
Summer Alford registered 12 kills and two block assists. Senior
Jordan Rickert collected 36 assists and two service aces. Freshman
Allyson Banks ended the evening with 10 digs.
KWC posted a .345 attacking percentage, six service aces and three blocks.
The Panthers return to action tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 26, hosting G-MAC opponent Alderson-Broaddus at 1 p.m.
