The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team posted its 11th sweep of the season on Tuesday night against Oakland City to improve to 17-4 overall.
During the first set the Panthers rallied late winning 25-23.
KWC went ahead 2-0 after taking the second set 25-17.
In the third set the Panthers pulled away midway through on their way to a 25-16 win.
Freshman
Summer Alford led the team in kills with 13, followed closely behind by sophomore
Dallas Zimmerman who tallied 12 and sophomore
Nikki Jenkins had 11 on the night. Zimmerman also recorded three blocks in the win. Senior
Jordan Rickert had 48 assists and junior
Hannah Hudnall posted 16 digs. Junior
Chelsea Brothers registered two service aces.
KWC finished the match with a .333 attacking percentage, 55 kills, 46 digs and five blocks.
The Panthers return home on Friday, Oct. 25 against G-MAC opponent Davis & Elkins at 5 p.m.
