The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team beat G-MAC opponent Cedarville 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. KWC is 15-3 on the season and 5-1 in conference play. The Panthers are tied for first place in the conference after earning the victory over the Yellow Jackets.
Cedarville took the first set 25-18, but the Panthers came back in the second set and led for almost the entire game winning 25-18.
The Yellow Jackets came out strong in the third set, using a couple of early runs and holding KWC off late to win 25-23.
KWC regained the momentum early in the fourth set, but Cedarville came back on several occasions to tie the score before KWC went on to take the game 25-21.
In the final set the Panthers used a 6-1 to pull away from the Yellow Jackets as KWC went on to win 15-8.
KWC travels to Evansville, Ind. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 to play non-conference opponent Southern Indiana at 7 p.m.
