Lewis held visiting Kentucky Wesleyan to 20 percent shooting in the first half to capture a 79-61 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory on Thursday in Romeoville, Ill.
 
Lauren Goffinet led the Panthers with 12 points and Kailyn Mitchell came off the bench to grab a game-high nine rebounds plus producing nine points.
 
Lewis led by 20 with 18:29 in the second before KWC went on a 20-8 run to cut the lead to 52-44 with 10:42 remaining as the Panthers shot 54 percent in the closing half.
 
The Flyers (13-3, 6-2) scored the next five points where they forged to a double-digit advantage they never gave up. Lewis outrebounded KWC 49-31.
 
­The Panthers defense forced 15 Lewis turnovers on 14 steals.
 
KWC (10-5, 6-2) play at Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday at 1 p.m.
