Kentucky Wesleyan could not hold on to a 10-point lead in the second half as Northern Kentucky rallied to a 69-66 Great Lakes Valley Conference win on Thursday night at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
Karly Rhoads led the Panthers with 19 points and
T'Essence Phelps added 11 points and five rebounds.
The Panthers led 47-37 with 14:56 remaining as the Norse shot an amazing 57.7 percent from the field in the second half while forcing KWC to 20 turnovers.
NKU's Cassie Mogan posted a game-high 26 points and scored the go-ahead basket with 4:04 remaining in the game. She also converted a basket with 16.9 seconds left to give the Norse a 68-64 lead.
Maria Bennett made one of two free throws with 8.1 seconds left extending the Norse lead to 69-66,

Neika Smith drew a foul driving to the basket with 3.7 left on the clock. Smith missed both free throws, but the Panthers'
Lauren Goffinet chased down the rebound in the right corner.
Goffinet's 3-pointer was off target, and NKU improved to 19-5 overall, 12-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Panthers (13-11, 7-9) travel to Bellarmine on Saturday night at 4:45 CT.
