Tennis falls to Western Kentucky and Belmont

Kentucky Wesleyan opened the women's spring tennis schedule with two losses against Division I foes Western Kentucky and Belmont in Brentwood, Tenn., on Saturday.
 
The Panthers fell 6-3 to the Hilltoppers and then to the Bruins 8-1.
 
In the first match, KWC won the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles flights with Macey Hallstedt (2-6, 6-4, 6-0), Danielle Hadler by default and Kendall Ganus (8-0) respectfully over WKU.
 
Ganus captured the Panthers only win with the No. 6 singles (8-6) over Belmont.
 
KWC (3-3) plays at the Saint Joseph's Invitational in Michigan City, Ind., on Feb. 25 and 26.
