Lauren Goffinet scored a team-high 14 points and T'Essence Phelps grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to lead Kentucky Wesleyan to a 72-58 victory over Martin Methodist in the Pops Duncan Classic in Nashville on Friday night.
 
The Panthers jumped out to a 12-2 lead and never looked back. The bench outscored the Redhawks 30-6.
 
Kailyn Mitchell added 11 points and seven rebounds. Jordanne Gambill and Shelbi Tyra had nine points a piece. Bianca Barton, Phelps and Tyra each dished out four assists.
 
KWC (2-1) will play Classic host Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
