Football falls short at Quincy 35-27

Will Barnes threw for three touchdowns but it was not enough as Quincy came-from-behind to defeat the Panthers 35-27 in Great Lakes Valley Conference football action on Saturday afternoon in Quincy, Ill.

KWC came from behind to tie the game at 14-14 seconds before the half on a second touchdown reception by Shawn Mooney's 46 yard catch. He caught the first touchdown on a 20-yard pass from Barnes. 

The Panthers forged ahead in the third period on a Barnes to Ta'Ron Squires 66-yard pass with 8:52 left. The Hawks then reeled off three straight touchdowns for the 35-21 lead.

Devin Le'Gall put the Panthers back on the scoreboard with a two-yard run for the final 35-28 tally.

KWC (2-8, 2-6 GLVC) travels to Central State on Saturday for a noon kickoff for the Panthers season finale.
