Kentucky Wesleyan fell short on winning their third match-in-a-row and second-straight Great Lakes Valley Conference contest in two days as they lost to visiting Quincy 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 26-28 and 13-15) in volleyball action on Sunday afternoon in Owensboro.
 
Ashley Smith led the Panthers with 21 kills along with two blocks and seven digs.
 
Chelsea Brothers and Bridget Johnson added nine kills and three blocks each. MaryBeth Ryan also had three blocks along with six kills.
 
Linda Albrecht recorded 28 assists and Jordan Rickert had 19. Rickert also served two aces. Morgan Watson led the defensively effort with 25 digs. Hanna Hudnall collected 14 digs and had two aces.
 
The Panthers (6-13, 2-7 GLVC) travel to Aurora, Ill., for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference-GLVC Cross-Over on Friday and Saturday.
