Kentucky Wesleyan lost to visiting Indianapolis 45-14 in Great Lakes Valley Conference football action on Saturday afternoon at Steele Stadium.
 
The Greyhounds (6-2, 6-0 GLVC) scored first on an 18-yard pass from Chris Mills to Mar'Quone Edmonds at the 6:19 mark in the first quarter.
 
The Panthers (2-6, 0-6 GLVC) responded with a 48-yard interception touchdown return by Sargent Huntley with 2:49 left in the quarter.
 
Edmonds and Mills connected on a 27-yard pass at the start of the second period for a 14-7 lead.
 
Brandon Gant caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Will Barnes to tie the game again at 14-14 with 11 minutes remaining for KWC's final score of the day.
 
UIndy's Klay Fletcher came back 28 second later to run 75-yards for their third score for the go ahead touchdown and Scott Miller kicked a 20-yard field goal with 30 seconds remaining for the 24-14 halftime lead.
 
For the third time, Edmonds and Mills produced a 23-yard touchdown pass with 12:10 left in the third.
 
Reece Horn scored on a five-yard pass from Mills at the five-minute mark and Matt Ripp rushed for a 33-yard touchdown with 1:26 left in the third for the Greyhounds final score.
 
KWC Jeff Ward led the Panthers with 73 yards rushing and Will Barnes completed 12 of 17 passes for 92 yards and one touchdown.
 
Brandon Gant caught five passes for 24 yards and a touchdown, and Neil Johnston had three receptions for 49 yards.
 
Cody Mills collected five solo and three assisted tackles to lead the defensive effort and Huntley had four solos and one tackle-for-loss and the interception.
 
The Panthers host Saint Joseph's next Saturday at 2 p.m. in their final home contest of the season.
