T'Essence Phelps scored a three-pointer with 25 seconds left to put KWC ahead for good in their comeback 76-72 win at Rockhurst in Kansas City on Thursday night.

The Kentucky Wesleyan women fell behind 12-0 in the opening minutes and then survived two Hawk runs including a 15-point deficit late in the first half.

Katie Behrens came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points and Kourtney Rhoads added 11 as 11 of 12 Panthers scored. 

KWC connected on 10-of-23 three-points for 44 percent. The Panthers (9-4, 3-2) play at William Jewell on Saturday at 1 p.m.
