Missouri S&T edged Kentucky Wesleyan 5-4 in overtime on Sunday afternoon at Panther Field.

Kimberly Elkholm scored the Miners winning goal in the first minute and half of overtime.

Freshman Paige Kramer (Owensboro/Daviess County HS) opened the contest for KWC with a goal at the 21st minute on a pass from sophomore Savannah Pepper (Princeton, Ky./Caldwell County HS).

The Miners' Leah Williams tied the game 1-1 at the 32nd mark.

KWC then scored two straight goals for a 3-1 lead.

Freshman Annie Elder (Owensboro/Daviess County HS)  and Pepper both scored unassisted at the 36th and 63rd minutes marks.

S&T followed with three straight from Sammy Minea, Melissa Young and Paige Smother for a 4-3 edge.

Elder scored the tying goal for the Panthers at the 76th minute mark to make it 4-4.

KWC's junior Troyanna Hardy (Madisonville, Ky.Madisonville North Hopkins HS) collected nine saves and the Miners' Stacey Luquette had four.

The Panthers recorded 14 shots to S&T's 21.

KWC travels to Liberty, Mo., on Friday, Sept. 23 to play new Great Lakes Valley Conference member William Jewell.
