The Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team erupted in its doubleheader against city rival Brescia on Monday night at Kamuf Park.

The Panthers (6-13) tallied 32 hits en route to 15-1 and 10-1 wins over the Lady Bearcats.

In the opener, KWC's Kayla Meny went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in, and Clarissa Smith, Laura Helms and Angie Camp each went 3-for-5. Smith had five RBIs.

Ashlee Winstead went the distance, striking out 11, to notch the win.

In the nightcap, the Panthers' Meagan Sallee went 3-for-3 with five RBIs, and Katy Kruse went 3-for-4. Meny earned the win.

Brescia's (4-10) Brittani Sanders went 2-for-2.
