Kentucky Wesleyan College grabbed the lead for good with eight minutes remaining and closed out the regular season with an 85-77 victory over Bellarmine on Saturday at Knights Hall.

Katie Behrens had team-highs of 20 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers (17-8, 11-7 Great Lakes Valley Conference), who have won six straight and 10 of their last 13.

Amanda Harnist and Karly Rhoads each scored 13 points for KWC, and Lauren Goffinet added 11.

The Panthers have earned a first-round home game in the GLVC Tournament. They will host Northern Kentucky at 5:15 p.m. next Saturday.

Kylee Hamilton had 23 points for the Knights (11-15, 6-12).
