Bianca Barton hit a floating layup with 0.5 seconds to go and Kentucky Wesleyan upset No. 15 Wisconsin-Parkside 68-67 in a women's basketball game Thursday night in Somers, Wis.
Barton scored 11 points for the Panthers, whon went 4-2 and 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. KWC was led by
Katie Behrens with 14 points.
KWC was red hot from the field and the free throw line in the second half. The Panthers made 15-of-22 from the floor for 68 percent. They were 10-of-12 from the line for 83.3 percent.
KWC made 25-of-50 from the floor for the game for 50 percent. It made 6-of-13 from three-point range for 46 percent and 12-of-16 from the line for 75 percent.
Brittany Beyer led Parkside with 23 points. Jadee Ronney scored 17 points for Parkside, which had a 23-game home winning streak broken.
KWC faces Lewis at Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday.
