Jena Stutszman scored 16 points and was one of four Ashland players in double figures.
Ashland (2-1) outrebounded KWC 40-31. Ashland hit 50 percent from the floor (30-of-60).
KWC was led by Kristin Rowe with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Katie Behrens added 11 points for the Panthers (2-1). They were 21-of-59 from the floor for 35.6 percent. They hit 3-of-14 on 3-pointers for 21 percent.
KWC returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts North Alabama at 5:15 p.m. as part of a men-women doubleheader.
