Wesleyan suffers 82-54 loss to Drury

Shooting woes derailed Kentucky Wesleyan in its 82-54 loss to Drury in a women's college basketball game Saturday at the Sportscenter.

The Lady Panthers shot 33.9 percent (21-of-62) from the field -- just 19.2 percent (5-of-26) from 3-point range.

Kentucky Wesleyan (7-5, 1-4 Great Lakes Valley Conference) was led by Karly Rhoads' 19 points. She was the only Panther who scored in double figures.

Jordan Ogle and Kailyn Mitchell each grabbed seven boards for KWC, which was outrebounded 41-38.

KWC never cut its deficit under double figures after Drury's Amanda Gibbons hit a free throw with 4:39 left in the first half that pushed the lead to 27-17. Drury's advantage was 43-26 at halftime.

Drury (9-4, 5-0) was paced by Bethanie Funderburk's 24 points and Abby Bracker's 11 rebounds.

Drury made 29-of-65 shots (44.6 percent) from the field, including 10-of-21 3-point attempts (47.6 percent).
