KWC drops twin bill

The Panthers dropped 3-1 and 4-3 decisions to Lewis at Panther Park on Saturday.

KWC (14-21, 6-11 Great Lakes Valley Conference) was unable to capitalize on a solid outing by starting pitcher Chris Burton in the opener. He allowed four hits with eight strikeouts in six innings.

The Panthers' Luke Garmon went 2-for-3, both doubles In the second game, Lewis (19-17, 10-8) scored three runs in the fourth inning to take control.

The Panthers' Tim Wimsatt went 3-for-4 and Jordan White 2-for-2. Mitch Kellum took the loss.
