Kentucky Wesleyan College ran its record to 3-0 with a 82-62 win over Asbury on Thursday night.

The Panthers were very good shooting the ball at the Sportscenter, hitting 30-of-57 from the field for 52.6 percent. They really found the range in the first half, hitting 17-of-28 for 60.7 percent. They were also good from 3-point land, hitting 5-of-10 in the first half and 7-of-21 for the game.

Leading those efforts were Lauren Goffinet with 16 points and Kristen Rowe with 15. Goffinet was 6-of-10 from the floor and Rowe 7-of-10.

Rowe also chipped in with eight rebounds to pace a 37-22 advantage for KWC on the glass.


Katie Behrens scored 10 points, as did Kailyn Mitchell, who made all four of her floor shots coming off the bench for the Panthers.

KWC made 11-of-13 free throws in the second half and was 15-of-22 for the game for 68 percent.

KWC travels to North Alabama next Tuesday.

Ellen Gray, a junior out of Apollo High School, led Asbury with 18 points. The Eagles dropped to 3-6.
