Kentucky Wesleyan's
DaMarcus Ganaway and
Quadarius Wallace swept Great Lakes Football Conference Players of the Week honors in offense and defense respectfully for their performances in the Panthers narrow 43-35 loss to visiting Saint Joseph's last Saturday.
Ganaway, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior wide receiver from Indianapolis, Ind. (Ben Davis HS), accounted for 261 all-purpose yards, highlighted by 171 yards receiving on nine catches with three touchdowns covering 48, 15, and 18 yards. He also had 90 yards in kick returns.
Wallace, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound junior linebacker from Union, Miss. (Union HS) collected 12 tackles in the game with 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
This marks the fifth time KWC has swept both honors in the same week since joining the GLFC in 2006.
Kentucky Wesleyan (3-5) will host Miles College (3-6) on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
